Taking a break

Was working on linux loadable modules when I deviated into making a network log for my broadband. Now it seems modules also might come in handy so I might get back into stream again! But don't know when.

Webcam drivers

Started working on video (2D). Webcam (Logitech Quick Cam ) causing changes in light due to auto brightness. No direct control. Looking into making a linux driver to get full control and also as an exercise to learn kernel programming and usb protocols.

Opencv

Still working on OpenCV, slowly but steadily. Working on parallel port simultaneously for temporarily testing new webcam technique for 3d .

Installed Opencv

Installed Opencv in linux in a bid to do gesture recognition and 3d stuff. Still a long way to go.

Taking a Detour

Just moved to Linux and figuring how to move around in it. Especially Makefiles. Want it for future dev and avr programmer


Figured out a possible way to get stereoscopic view out of a single web cam using synchronised flipping of a mirror.

Started with some programming

Started with basic PWM for IR modulation with atemga8. Using proteus now. Got a great link at sonsivri.com

Figured I could do image manipulation in uC with ARM or something. Also figured out that I could recognise eit points of a room from motion analysis ,edge detection and the data form door based sensors.

Still floating

Still haven't made much headway neither about PLCC nor switching. Concentrating more on switching so that I can get on with the light controls.
